Why an Advanced Technical Intelligence Association?

A number of association’s already exist with wide-ranging interests in the defense and intelligence industries.  However, none of these associations have advanced technical intelligence based measurement and signature technologies as their central focus.  In our view, the interests of this increasingly vital field can easily take a back seat to larger, more established constituencies of the more traditional disciplines.  Further, military and intelligence applications have overshadowed the significant commercial applications of these technologies.  ATIA seeks to provide a strong and clear voice to advanced technical intelligence applications, creating an important center of professional momentum and advocacy on behalf of the entire industry.

 Advanced Technical Intelligence Association Precepts:

  • Measurement and signature-based technologies hold great promise in addressing critical needs in national and civil defense.
  • Focused professional attention is necessary to adequately define, develop and integrate these technologies with other, more traditional intelligence disciplines.
  • We must work together as an industry/Government partnership for the benefit of the entire Advanced Technical Intelligence community.
